Almost all electric blankets are good and this is no exception. However, due to the type of controller this blanket uses, it works great with Alexa. I connected it to the WeMo Wi-Fi port which is connected to Alexa. By plugging it into WeMo outlets, I can automatically turn it off after an hour (or as long as I like). Most duvets have an auto shut off after 8-10 hours for safety reasons, but I wanted it to shut off earlier after falling asleep. No more waking up in the middle of the night to roast. :)Note. This is also possible with the WeMo Wi-Fi Smartplug and the WeMo App. You don't have to have Alexa. However, she is the icing on the cake.
