Review on FURemover Broom: Pet Hair Removal Tool with Squeegee & Telescopic Handle, Extends 3-5 Feet - Black & Yellow by Danny Zapata

I bought this broom to clean animal hair in my one-room apartment. We lived here for a year with a shedding cat dog. We have a vacuum, but it can barely pick up a popcorn kernel in 10 passes, let alone pet hair. The only useful tool I had to have in all of this was to get on my hands and knees and brush the carpet with a pet grooming brush, which was tedious and rough on the carpet. I was also very apprehensive about buying a brand new vacuum and spending hundreds of dollars on something that might just clog and break given all the hair we had here. So I started looking at carpet brooms and rakes. If it didn't work I would have lost at most 20 or at most 30 dollars. Reviewers who had issues with the rake "bouncing around" or catching on the carpet. I have not tried a metal rug rake and will not, as this broom is exactly what I needed. Other products may be effective but I know for sure that this is one of them. I chose this broom because it's marketed specifically as a hair remover and also because of the positive reviews describing it, which is why I'm here to add another one. uses a rubber blade, not rubber bristles. I was very, very skeptical that solving my pet's hair problem would be as ridiculous as sweeping the carpet, but the results are undeniable. The stubble side removes some hair, but often throws hair to the side or in the air. I find it best to use the side with the blade and then, once clean, "fluff" the carpet with the bristles. That makes it very new and fresh. It's important to note that while it's very effective and very cheap, it's not a miracle. Using this broom on carpet requires more energy than sweeping a smooth floor. Me, a healthy 24 year old guy, got fed up after 20-30 minutes of work. If you're not full-powered or just don't want to work hard to save money, a powerful vacuum might still be the wisest choice. Also, most non-hair items will be flung up by this broom instead of being swept into a heap. Oddly enough, I was lucky that all the hair I swept actually picked up a ton of other stuff, but you'll probably still need a vacuum to do the rest. Personally, I plan on getting a small $20 vacuum to complement this broom, especially since right now I only have to pick up hairballs with my hands. about a quarter of my apartment. I tricked my 40 pound dog into posing next to the hair, which I extracted for size and humorous effect. I've also included a before and after photo of a small area of carpet under my table. This should highlight the improvement in removing hair (and even some other debris) and also how the bristles can easily fluff up a section of carpet that has been pinned down by a heavy metal extension for months. Please note that in the "after" picture you can see the hair on the baseboard. That's only because I have a hard time getting under the table, not because the broom itself has trouble getting at objects. I hope this gives anyone curious a full idea of what the broom is actually capable of.
