Replacing a laptop hard drive with an SSD is the best performance improvement you can make. This is my third laptop I'm looking to upgrade (first with a Crucial drive, second with a different brand, and now this one). You'll need a USB to SATA connector, which Revain offers cheaply. I had one from my first update. You will also need cloning software. I went from 512GB (100GB of which was used) to 240GB, so I needed one that could shrink the partition. Not all. After two free utilities that didn't work (copies were made but wouldn't load for some reason!), I discovered Macrium Reflect. It worked great (and free too). It looks like Reflect isn't working, but you can adjust the dimensions and add the remaining sections. My only complaint is that no instructions or suggested cloning utility are provided.
