We bought these sponges because my boyfriend likes to wash dishes with a sponge and I find them disgusting. The solution was to buy something I could wash and dry hot to my heart's content without falling apart. Some of these sponges are washed hot weekly and dried on high speed and have held up great for the few months we've had. As a dishwashing detergent, they're a little hard to love. The size is big enough to make it inconvenient to clean and hold things inside. A traditional sponge conforms to your hand and the surface being cleaned, but doesn't change shape as much due to its reusable layered design. They get the job done, but I look forward to a pack of regular sponges being snuck into our house when my friend is pushed to the limit.
