I bought this adapter to replace the native monitor on my son's computer. Upon hooking it up, I immediately noticed an image distortion band on the monitor, moving from bottom to top and then reappearing at the bottom. After a while, I noticed that a similar distortion, albeit less intense, was appearing on the other monitor. I replaced the adapter with another one available and the distortion completely went away. Without a doubt, this adapter is the cause of the observed distortions.
