Review on πŸŒ€ Cool Attic CX1500: Efficient Gable Mount Power Attic Ventilator with Powerful 2.6-Amp Motor and 14-Inch Blade by Don Taniguchi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Out with the bad air, with the good!

This fan has changed my air comfort a lot! I installed it in my eastern attic as shown in the instructions and hooked it up to a pre-installed box I installed in my kitchen while I was working. I used 1" thick foam sheeting to cut out the profile of the fan with a knife and fill in the exposed portion of the gable. Thus, the intake air comes mostly from the soffit vent. I set the fan to 95 degrees and it did after installation Works for 30 minutes.Note that the thermostat is NOT prewired so one of the wires on the thermostat needs to be connected to the black wire going to the fan and the other black wire on the thermostat to the incoming black wire.I also used rubber grommets for noise reduced and it's hardly noticeable that the fan is running in the room directly below. Now I'm thinking about adding another fan to the west gable vent although I don't seem to need it!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
