I had a variable speed Aquajet pump at 65psi and 5.3gpm as OEM equipment in Monaco Executive Coach. After several phone calls about the 75-85psi rating of this unit I purchased this item and installed it on the bus while my lowest system component rating is 100psi which is Pex Manabloc. The actual unit lists "85 psi" which is not adjustable like older units and is actually 5.3 gpm and not the erroneous description information of "3.5 gpm". (I found this out by doing a simple spec search on the Aquatec website.) Once installed, it destroyed all of the 100psi rated Manabloc gaskets. I'm not talking valve seals, I mean O-rings between each Manabloc section. It also blew up a battery seal and destroyed a canister filter designed for high residential pressure. Swearing can only describe my thoughts at the moment, and it's impossible to tell what other waterways he violated in the carriage. Also in the car only domestic installations, with the exception of an electronic toilet with vacuum valves. Once I've replaced $500 worth of damaged parts I'll find out what other leaks are out there now. I hope the destruction of the water filter prevented major damage. When I first started the pump, I blew all the air out of the system and the pump shut off. I checked for leaks and everything was ok. After dinner, I briefly turned on the kitchen sink and noticed that the pump started and continued to work after 15 seconds. As I ran to the lower compartment where the pump was, water was spurting out of every section of the Manabloc, out the battery connector, and water was leaking out of the PEX compression line. I disconnected the positive pole, immediately opened the built-in fuse and opened the drain valve for cold and hot water. The pressure coming out of the drain lines was incredible. My house has high pressure that cannot be compared to the flow of pressurized water. Then I noticed water in the sink compartment and it looks like the leak is at the cold water thread closest to the pump. You won't do as much damage to living quarters with 85 psi of water. The pump sounded like it was about to explode before the power went out. Thank you Aquatec for wasting my time damaging my rig and asking for a bunch of parts to fix it.
