Like any other old (or not-so-old) dude tinkering around, sooner or later there will always be a project that calls for a set of rivet nuts or a knick-knack that needs it rivet nut to be replaced. Pros: This 150 piece range is a decent range if you mostly want smaller sizes. It is made of zinc plated carbon steel (stronger than aluminum) Cons: Small plastic box does not accommodate different sizes separately. They were all mixed upon arrival. The spline appears to be the same diameter as the rest of the barrel. However, I haven't had the opportunity or reason to use them yet. I looked at the box of rivets. already had it and noticed the difference. The blocks I have had a slightly larger diameter in the splined part. Not very much, but noticeable. The blocks I just received seem to have the wedges stamped into a cylinder of the same diameter. Do they hold up as well as splines that need to penetrate wood or plastic? I do not think so. With wood I get by with a drop of glue, with plastic not really. Metal, I can hit my back with MIG spot welding. Seems rather cumbersome, but I'll try it soon and come back to this review.
