I noticed that the good reviews for this product come from people who have not tried it. The tools make a solid and reasonably secure impression. I am concerned and saddened by the fact that this tool is unable to "grab" the valve. You can definitely loosen and tighten it, but it doesn't grab the valve to pull it out. If gravity works against you, you might not be able to get it. I think if you have 2 tools maybe the trick is to modify one to hook onto the valve to pull it out. So you can just swap the ends of the ball valve.
