Review on πŸ’‡ Layrite Cement Clay Hair Product by Laura Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for combing through unruly ethnic hair

I've tried many styling products on my coarse Asian hair and while some Japanese and Korean waxes have a strong hold, none ever wash out or require a conditioner. Shampoo to completely remove the gum rim. I recently tried Target's Duke & Cannon Hurricane lipstick and was amazed that it was "easy to wash off" β€” but it wasn't. Asian hair is notoriously difficult to straighten without spending big bucks on a perm, and wearing hats all the time doesn't physically change the character of your hair (I don't know why so many men recommend it. It doesn't). make a car). I used the original version of Layrite a few years ago when I liked the brush, but wanted something with a firmer feel as I don't usually like the greasy feel of lipsticks. I didn't know this cement clay existed so I took a chance based on Layrite's promise that it rinses off easily and it was perfect - the clay has such a hard matte finish and actually supports your style. It held up better than the original formula. It rinses out well first with a conditioner and then a shampoo, although sometimes it seems like it still leaves a light film on your hair (but sadly most clays do). My only wish is that Layrite release unscented versions of their products as the creamy soda flavor can be overwhelming at times. But overall I think this is the BEST product as long as I want to rock combos. Asian guys with coarse and unruly hair who want their hair to be straight, this product does it. However, for long-term combing, keep this in mind: I've heard it's still better to do a chemical treatment to straighten the hair. Less product and time for the right hair styling.
