I bought this item because it had cool mist and warm mist options and top fill, plus it was a decent price. I'll start with the positive qualities he had. It was very quiet, I liked the consistency of the mist, almost like a light cloud or vapor, and being able to easily fill in from the top was great. But that's where the good ends. Now for the bad. Any engineer or designer who thought it was a good idea to put a bright blue light on the bottom and a constantly flashing white light on the side should be fired. They obviously didn't take into account that some people don't like to sleep with that kind of light bouncing around their bedroom, or at least gave me the option to have a "dark mode". The control "buttons" were a bit quirky. I eventually sorted them out after threatening to throw them in the backyard (don't want the neighbors to see a maniac in the front yard!) but you had to press them with the right amount of pressure for them to work smoothly, and they should you have finished "thinking" before you can continue pressing another key. You cannot quickly switch between key functions. As for the cool and warm mist option, I've read some reviews that it doesn't work. Not sure if it was a fact that it didn't work, but it takes a while for the water to heat up and then you just feel heat where the mist comes out. Once it mixes with the surrounding air, there is no real difference between cold and warm fog. You then have to wait for the water to cool before it starts spraying cool mist. You cannot quickly switch between the two fog options. However, none of these downsides are too bad on their own, but when you put them all together, it's enough to make you say bad things. I sent it back after the second night.
