I love this fan! ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION Easy and no different than any other remote controlled fans I've installed except the blades are pre-installed and out of the way when hung. NOISE AND AIR MOVEMENT Very quiet! At low levels, almost nothing can be heard, just a slight hiss of air movement. You have to be quiet and hold your breath to hear it and maintain a good cooling draft throughout the room. On medium you can hear a click and the motor revs up to turn on, but all you can hear is air movement. This creates a pleasant breeze that fills the room. At altitude, you can hear a slight hum of the engine and more air movement, and even those who are light sleepers can oversleep it. This creates enough wind to blow the papers off my desk. LIGHTING Changes the color temperature but does not dim. On bright white I can see everything in my room clearly, even enough light to find a dropped pin. In the mid-range, it's similar to an incandescent bulb, which still fills the room but is less straining on the eyes. In low light, it emits a more yellow light, which is better for evening or dinner time. REMOTE CONTROL Everything can be changed and controlled with a remote control, where the existing wall switch can only control the light or turn off the fan. The wall switch allows you to change the color temperature of the light by turning it on and off one by one. GENERAL THOUGHTS I am very pleased with all aspects of this fan and I really like the hidden blades. Before I forget, you must climb the stairs to clean the blades. There is enough space between them and they can be lifted up for cleaning. Hope that was helpful, thanks!
