This air purifier is a lot more expensive than most, but it's very quiet and appears to have good filtration. This is a good choice for large areas or if you need excellent filtration for health reasons, for example. The number of filters in this thing is incredible. There is a pre-filter, HEPA, carbon and metal mesh filter. Plus a UV lamp. The size of the filters is very large, so the surface area for filtering is quite large. The design is pretty unassuming. It's a large device, but you can put it almost entirely up against a wall as there are no vents at the back. I use it at home, so the noise level is important. Very quiet at low fan speed. I have to be about a foot away to hear the fan. The controls are simple and intuitive. There is an automatic fan setting that is adjusted depending on the air quality. You can also set the fan speed to manual at any time. The LED on the front panel changes color depending on the air quality. I would have preferred a digital display as you don't know which color represents what. If you are using this in the bedroom and don't want the light you will need to tape the LED light to block it. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable the LED.
