Pitch Black is different from the other "Loaded Bolds" from the Maybelline Color Sensation line. I have Gray Over It and Blackest Berry and they are great! Pitch Black is not pitch black at all. It is not opaque and cannot be built. I guess I can say it's not super spotty, but who needs greyish petroleum jelly as a species, even if it's uniform? It doesn't even smell like the other lipsticks in this line. It smells waxy and cheap. I give it two stars because it works as a lipstick top coat to get a dark purple lipstick. When I layer it on Blackest Berry it's almost black. It's very hard to find drugstore black lipstick, and even harder to find drugstore black lipstick that works. However, I was expecting a little more from it because it was from the Loaded Bolds line! I will use it over other lip products but I won't be repurchasing and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they're switching to gray petroleum jelly or want a sooty lipstick.
