Review on National 710648 Axle Shaft Seal: Durable and Reliable Automotive Part by Tim Rios

Good quality seal, this national brand specific seal I received was made in Brazil for those interested. Replaced passenger side seal on 2008 Sierra 1500 4WD 5.3L with 8.25" gear in front diff. Maybe this can help someone, but to replace that specific side: 1) Remove the passenger wheel. Remove the skid plate under the front differential. 2 ) Remove strut with cross arm bolts Loosen or remove the bolts that attach the upper strut to the frame Move the strut to the side slightly Move the motor to the front axle and wire harness aside 5) Unscrew the axle shaft tube from the differential Some gear oil will flow out Remove slowly and carefully, noting the spring inside. Remove the shifter ring and set it aside. Use a small pick or pocket screwdriver to remove the axle bracket. Use a soft face mallet and gently tap the axle pin out of the axle tube. 7) Use a large screwdriver and remove the old gasket, being careful not to Ge not to damage or contaminate the bearing behind with dirt. Carefully insert the new gasket until it is flush with the axle tube. 8) You should get it from here :) 7)
