Review on Lafeber's Senior Bird Nutri-Berries: Optimal Macaw and Cockatoo Food for Aging Birds by Tyra Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My 33 year old Revane loves it!

My 33 year old revane who I adopted 3 years ago has been on a seed diet her entire life. A blood test showed high triglycerides and liver levels. I've switched her to pellets, which she doesn't like, and these Nutriberries, which she loves. Her recent blood test showed a decrease in triglycerides and liver function tests. To be honest I would like to give 5 stars but I can't because of the packaging. I'm afraid I'll have to start buying them in smaller packs which cost a lot more because the last 2 large packs I bought were one big solid mass. Eventually everything falls apart before I can put it on her plate. Surely there must be a better way to keep the "berries" shape. Birds like to peck at them much more than just small pieces. Edit: This product is even better than I expected. My bird had a joint injury and her new vet recommended these because they contain glucosamine. Turns out my bird loves her so much that he eats her first. Her liver values were 106 in August 2020 but dropped to 76 in March 2021. This helped.
