I was able to re-solder it to make it work, but I had to spend a lot of time debugging before I got the .
Unfortunately this item did not work when it arrived but I only discovered this after soldering it to two different items that I wanted to plug into. Then, when both elements failed, I decided to disassemble this connector - only found that one of the main wires in the block was badly soldered and was dangling. I was able to re-solder it to get it working, but I had to spend a lot of time troubleshooting before I found that little plus was the problem. It seems to be working fine now, but I don't know how long it will last.
