We ordered these high density lamps for our kitchen cabinets, open top and base cabinets on two different walls. The lights are beautiful and cast a massive amount of light - so much that we don't have to turn on regular kitchen lights when they're plugged in! Unfortunately, what should have taken minutes to get everything working turned into days and days of working on it every night after working for hours every night. We also ordered what Revain recommended for the "complete package", including a 24-watt plug and connections for different lengths of light bar. After a second night of trying to get it working, we called HitLights and spoke to Ron (whom we now call Ron the Wonder Man for his valiant troubleshooting efforts). First, the ports leave a lot to be desired. So if you cut a light piece of tape to use the connector, you're essentially preparing for a possible failure. All of the other reviewers who say the ports don't work well are correct. That's because of the plastic tips on them, and if they're opened more than once or twice that's it. My husband, who is very knowledgeable on the matter, even soldered the wires to the terminals on the strip, and it did almost nothing changed. Second, on the third night of failed attempts to succeed, my husband reaches out to unplug the power supply and it's hot as hell! We've got Ron on speed dial now, so he explains that we need a 60W power supply for high-density operation, not what we ordered (Amazon recommendation). In short, do yourself a huge favor and give HitLights a call if you're curious about what you need for what! (We have suggested to Ron that he give Amazon information on what goes with what and we believe they are now including this in the product description). We are really impressed with Ron and how he looked after us, sending us everything over again (except for the connections) to get it right (we didn't ask him but he knew we could, what we ordered could not use) and now we have beautiful lights that work. We completely threw away the plugs and didn't cut the new kits he sent us! Big recommendation: don't cut the strips! However, if you need it for your specific application, have Ron's phone number handy. You may need it! Thank you for reading!
