Great for animals and plants
I don't even use this for animals, I use it for planting blueberry bushes. I convinced my roommate to buy it for her snake. Mainly to keep him from getting shards and we'll update this review as we line the cage. See, the material is very slick and doesn't look like it will split while eating or even stick to the prey. The absorbency of this material works great as I am currently using it to plant blueberries in a large trench filled with reptile bark. Holds water all day. Also works well with orchids.
