Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Housolution Aluminum Woodworking Welding Adjustable: Enhancing Precision and Versatility by Richard Sallah

Revainrating 4 out of 5

EXACTLY the same as "other brand " that costs $5 less

I only give this product 4 stars because it is exactly the same as at least one other that costs $5 less. Performance and price compared to other products probably made in the same factory but sold under a different brand here on Revain, still 5 stars. The photos show this product and another that is $5 less. ACCURACY / PRECISION: I used my Milwaukee aluminum square and Husky digital caliper to check squareness and thickness uniformity. I've tested the square and caliper on editing tools and in many projects I've used them on I've developed a square and a plane (using a plane, of course). These clamps are great for what I will be using them for - woodworking (picture framing on large projects), general carpentry work (like holding a pole when installing a cross brace) and light duty welding of square steel tubing. A NOTICE. WHEN MEASUREMENT: The head rotates in almost all three axes. For this reason, the square must be clamped vertically and at right angles to the ball head and clamping surfaces. If the square is not at this point, it will rotate as intended when tightened. Then, since it's no longer plumb, you can see a small gap, about 1/32 of an inch. This is a mismeasurement artifact, not a bracket. Keep that in mind as you read reviews and view photos. Anyway, 1/32" is acceptable in construction, carpentry (some ask for 1/64") and in almost every project we make very small parts (for which you can use other types of clamps anyway). WARNING: Do not rely on reviews to determine if the product YOU are receiving is square. Check them yourself with a reliable measuring device during the return period. Tools like the speed square (L-shaped) and the square (triangle) are two of the most basic and commonly used tools in any builder's, carpenter's, joiner's, etc. toolbox. I would say that anyone who buys these should probably have these two tools first. With some clamps, they can even do the same thing as these clamps (though with a little more effort). In fact, they can do a lot of cool things besides just checking s. square or take quick measurements instead of using a tape measure (a guide for each circular saw to make perfect cuts, etc.) OTHER OPTIONS: After researching the clamps, I bought these and an "other brand" that look the same but were sold by a different seller. We all know Revain selling the same items with a different brand logo. This case is no different. After receiving them I can say that the clamps are identical and probably made in the same factory. The boxes have slight differences, although the colors, fonts, general design, etc. don't have any noticeable differences in my opinion. Since the difference is only $5 I will keep both and buy two more of the cheaper one. I dare to guess that some of these are also made in a different color by me. I wanted gray because it doesn't scratch and wear as much as other aluminum colors.
