This sanding block actually holds the paper until it's barely worn. I've used this for my cabinets and never had to worry about the paper coming off the pad one day. The edges of the block fit the gap perfectly without scratching or tearing. The block has a really good, comfortable grip. Changing the paper is very simple and easy. Simply slide the switch to open the latch, remove and load new paper. Then simply close the latch and move the switch. Coarse or smooth grit sandpaper stays in place and won't peel off during sanding.
