Review on Enhance Your KitchenAid Experience with the 6 Quart Flex Edge Beater and Bowl Scraper Attachment Kit by John Wood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for your 6 liter Kitchenaid!

I used and abused my original Kitchenaid Enamel Beater until it cracked in many places. I have a feeling that putting it in the dishwasher caused some cracking in the enamel of the old one due to the heat cycle. This is a high density plastic with a plastic wiper edge molded directly into it. The original KA bending edge has a bending edge on one side. It is also surrounded by a ledge at the bottom which scratches the indentation of the shell. It's not exactly level either. It has a curved shape along the blade that helps "scoop" the ingredients. When I first used it in my KA for mashing (because I'm so lazy) I found it to be snug. . Once it was lit and the edge of the scraper bled, it was smoother than mashed potatoes in KitchenAid. Worked very quickly to add sour cream, butter, egg, cheese and scallions. It washed up easily and then put it in the top rack of the dishwasher too. I'll throw it at him. I love that it got rid of the "dimple" in the bottom of the bowl and this one doesn't scratch the sides like my other one did when something got stuck in it (I see you stray walnut shell, I see you.)

  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
