I specifically bought this product to use at hotels. I travel for work and wanted extra security. Tried this lock at 3 different hotels-Baymont, Microtel and Best western plus. It didn’t work. The locks are similar to the ones in the pictures, but they didn’t work for this lock. I could not close the door without it forcing my lock out. I think if the lock hole was wider/longer it would work.Side note- I did try this at home on my bedroom door which opens outward and it worked great. I’d recommend it for simple door locks but not hotel doors which are more complex.
