This is my first traction pillow and I use it for my bad discs in my neck as well as to help my sinuses. When I lay back on it my sinuses start to clear! My right ear is always muffled sounding and it turns out it's not that I have a bad ear I have bad sinuses! After laying on this pillow for 10 minutes my right ear will start to pop and crackle as my sinuses drain then all of a sudden the world is at full volume again! wild.Now, as for a traction pillow this one is nice. For me, it'd be better if it was about a half inch shorter but it works well as is. Turn the ramp towards you spine for experienced users and turn the ramp away from your spine for new users. I'm new so I find the ramp pointed away (like they recommend) works very well for me.This is nice unit, I'll be getting a second one for my niece
