These retractable probes offer excellent value for money. time and frustration that I avoid them. The case is expensive plastic, seems quite thick and sturdy, and this little tool makes it a lot easier to check for continuity and troubleshoot electrical issues. I just wish I had bought this thing sooner. One note: this isn't auto rewind, you actually have to rotate part of the case to pull the wires into the case, which is great as I don't have to worry about the retractable strap breaking. All I have to do is glue the plastic cover or sleeve that sits on top of the alligator clips. If you're not careful, the plastic grommet on the alligator clip can slip off and you could cause a short or false readings on your electrical equipment.
