Amazing GPU but with some limitations

Pros - Fast, very, very fast out of the box - Crushes everything I throw at it - Competes with my 3090 and even beats it in a few tests - Looks very sexy, the RGB lighting is amazing. Cons - Consumes a lot of power, needs a great PSU, at least 850W - Runs warm - Noisy fan profile. So I have a 3070 FTW3 and a 3090 XC3 Ultra and I'm telling you this 3080 Ti FTW3 is insane! Out of the box clock speeds are great and in my case it looks very good. This GPU pulls 400 watts out of the wall on default settings, so it gets hot. During testing, I observed temperatures of 84ยฐC in a very open case with really good airflow. Due to the temperature, the fan profile has to run at 75% to keep it in check, and yes, you can hear the fans. Any other review telling you it's quiet here is just lying to you. The 3070 FTW3 I own has pretty much the same cooler and fans, and I don't see temperatures above 63C during benchmarks. Of course, it consumes 265 watts versus 400 watts. Buy this GPU if you want a nice RGB card and one of the fastest versions of the 3080 Ti series, but be aware that you want a great cooling shroud and simply have to deal with fan noise during heavy workloads. This graphics card is a perfect match for a water cooler and/or an enthusiast who doesn't mind opening up the card and replacing gaskets and thermal paste as the standard materials seem a little flimsy. Otherwise great graphics card and I would recommend it, but only at the end customer price, do not pay higher scalper prices. EDIT: After two days of use, the graphics card started giving artifacts, causing my screen to repeatedly turn on and off. It was the stock settings. Most likely a memory issue on this GPU. I expect better quality control from EVGA.
