I give 5 stars because of the optics, ease of focusing and overall quality of the Gosky monocular. As you can see from my photos, you can take some decent wildlife photos with this device. I did all my examples with the monocular mounted on a tripod for easier focusing and to be ready when the birds enter the photo area. I have a G6 LG Android with standard and wide angle lenses. I've found that using a wide-angle lens with a monocular reduces a lot of the telephoto quality of the photos, so I just use a regular lens. Focusing the device is not difficult, a lot depends on the quality of the camera lens. If you want the picture to fill the photo screen, you need to draw the picture on the phone screen with your fingers. Otherwise, you'll end up with a round-edged image, as shown in my two examples. Also, you have to make sure that the phone is in a perfect vertical or horizontal position, otherwise you will get the photo at an angle as shown in the deer photos. Both were filmed at a slight angle. This is a great way to use your phone to zoom with a telephoto lens. It works well. Is it easier or does it give a better picture than just using a good telephoto camera? no If your goal is to take great wildlife photos and you want to spend the required amount of money, which can be significant, a good camera is the way to go. If you want to expand your photo experience on your phone, Gosky is a good choice.
