Review on 📻 Universal AM/FM HD Car Radio Tuner with FM Modulator - DMHD-1000 by Directed by Jared Winebrenner

I live in Los Angeles, California. The device covers many HD channels. I won't go into functionality and controls in this review as other buyers have pretty much said it all. I just want to mention one distortion/over modulation issue I had as well. The repair is very easy and requires no soldering for me. One user mentioned soldering the gold pins to one or both of the audio jack's RCA outputs. What I did was strip the wire with exposed copper/aluminum (2-3 inches). The wire must be long enough to wrap around the outer sheath of both cinch sockets at least once. Now all you have to do is ground this wire to the chassis of the car. In this case I found a good grounding stud for other accessories in my car. Check out my photo to show what the mod looks like. Update 7/11/15: I originally rated this 4 stars and changed it to 3 stars because this device overheats and goes into some kind of safe mode where it turns off the display. The music continues to play, but nothing appears on the display. I ended up including a computer fan that runs on 5V to keep the unit cool. After cooling down, the display returns to normal. As of August 30, 2015, the problem has not recurred.
