Review on ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ Govinda 5 Inch Temple Wooden Charcoal/Cone Burner: Enhance Your Spiritual Experience by Karla Kennedy

Beautiful appearance works very well!

Rewriting the entire review because I broke one of my rules. Never test a product while not using it. First, I love the rustic yet sophisticated look. This burner is pretty good! It looks good and is purpose built. The ceiling is naturally ventilated, with a small piano loop allowing access to the interior. It remains closed with a small nail inserted in the appropriate hole. The "latch" system works surprisingly well, being hidden when closed and unobtrusive when open. It's so seamless I have to look for a loop to see where it opens. Can I please put a color dot on it to mark the front? The bottom or base is hollow with ventilation holes, like the top, through which air enters. The steel shell inside is fixed to the base. I didn't like it at first glance, but I quickly realized that it was safe and secure when moving the burner. I use fast, light carbon discs, but never light them from the inside. I take the burner outside a few minutes after lighting it so the smoke doesn't come out. (Quickly ignited embers give off unpleasant smoke when lit with your fist.) The shell is slightly elevated and loose on all sides. This means there are gaps in the material attaching the bowl to the base. This is very important because of convection. The heat causes air to flow through the base and rise up around the bowl and out the top. This airflow keeps the charcoal burning and carries the flavor up and out. The bowl conveniently accommodates disc and square coals. This burner is amazing and highly recommended.

Pros
  • Can also be used with charcoal to make incense resin.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
