I took a gray whale 18-55 vr, it turned out 50 bucks cheaper and the guarantee is only a year. Then I bought 55-200 vr. My first SLR. Absolutely satisfied with everything. Disadvantages are certainly present, but shooting conditions are rare are such that it can be seen. In extreme cases, you just have to spend a little more effort on some things, for example, instead of exposure bracketing, do HDRku programmatically from RAW or twist a polarizing filter manually after focusing. In short, after the soap box - it's heaven and earth. If you have a little bit of artistic taste and minimal knowledge of image processing programs, you can take great photos that are not inferior to expensive DSLRs. Some of my examples are under the cut.
