I was looking for a lantern lighter with a secure lid and locking system. Many "torch" type lighters do not have a button guard that releases butane when carried in a pocket or wrapper where it can be quite crushed. This one has a locking lid secured with a secondary lock, just what I was looking for. A lanyard ring is also integrated into the case. I might prefer a dual flare, but one should be just right. Can't comment on durability yet, but I hope it lasts a long time and with the protection that the case offers, it doesn't fail due to external influences.
