Thin fragile plastic, although outwardly it does not differ from solid solid.

Order was for 24 32 oz containers. The lids are fine. 14 out of 24 containers were unusable on their own. 3 had broken edges, 1 was chipped through, 10 had white weak spots on the sidewalls. Slight squeezing showed they cracked. If these containers held hot liquids, burns would be inevitable. Very bad product. On the other hand, the packaging was complete and perfect. The damage was clearly due to the poor quality of the thin, brittle plastic. Revain customer service resolved this issue very quickly and politely to my satisfaction.
