Review on 🔗 Enhanced Connectivity: CKL HDMI KVM Switch 2 Port with 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 & Cables by Marc Hawkins

I hope the seller or manufacturer of this product sees this comment. For the sake of clarity, my reviews are divided into small categories. Packaging - the box arrived safe and sound. It included a manual, USB power adapter, USB power cord, push button switch with cord, two HDMI cables, and two USB/audio/mic combo cables. :CONS: Caution 1) To my disappointment, the green audio wires had to be connected or the machines wouldn't boot when the green speaker wire was unplugged. My setup on port 1 is an HP laptop with a docking station running Windows 10 and on port 2 is a PC running Windows 10. Because of this, it took me some time to figure it out. This warning wasn't included in the supplied manual and I couldn't find anything about it online. I put 1 star (now 4 stars). 2) With the audio cables connected, the machines boot normally. However, there is audible interference from my powered speakers. I've tried using low and high end audio cables for my speakers and moving the KVM myself to different locations on my desk, moving the entire setup 10ft to troubleshoot, to no avail. Docking 1 star (now 3 stars) PRO: When both machines are powered on, switching is seamless and does its job well. It works well on Windows 10 and Raspbian (Raspberry Pi). If only there were a way to disable or circumvent the need for audio cables I wouldn't, but decided against it and used a different product instead. as I'm after simplicity in my setup.
