After reading some reviews that these hinges are not perfectly straight I was a bit skeptical but other reviews with pictures convinced me I needed them. Installing them was a bit of a chore, trial and error, but after a while I figured it out. Here's how I did it: Hold a closed loop on the left inside of the box, the top of the bracket was flush with the top of my box and pressed against the back. Marked and drilled pilot holes, then secured it with #8 1/2" wood screws. (Repeat the process for another loop). After both hinges are attached to the sides of the box, I put a MDF-padded wood lid on the raised hinge mounts. Lying on my back, I used two strips of 2" outer masking tape that I cut to the length of the loops. I attached half to the hinge and half to the lid. Then I could push and close the lid. In the closed position, the lid wasn't completely aligned with my box, so I repeated this process until I got the right result. Lying on my back I was able to hold the cover and attach it with three screws on each side. Works great.
