Revain has dozens of identical corner clips like this one and they are all exact copies of the Woodpeckers original. This one is slightly different in that the manufacturers have coated it with yellow anodizing instead of copying the red used by Woodpeckers. Otherwise it is identical to the other clones, both functionally and in terms of the choice of materials and construction. Accuracy is good, both clamps measuring true 90 degrees inside and out using my 6 inch square as a reference. Anodizing is good, but gradations are difficult to read. Where he and the other clones differ most from the original are in the clamp bolts and grips. The woodpecker screw is an Acme thread designed to rotate more smoothly and can handle much higher loads than the standard thread used in this and other clones. The Woodpecker also uses metal handles, while the clones use plastic handles with stamped steel inserts that can fail under high loads. Do not try to achieve high clamping forces that could overload the handles. At around half the price of the original, this is a reasonable price, although I wouldn't expect these pens to last forever.
