We don't sell very large items so our wired scanners work every day. We also have a non-Bluetooth wireless scanner, so we were excited to try it out. We set it up using the QR code in the instructions, not the code under the base. It paired easily with the iPad, but we had to make sure it was enabled in the "Don't auto-hide keyboard" feature, otherwise we wouldn't be able to type after scanning. What we don't like is that you have to turn it on and have it sync again after a few hours of idleness. It takes each of the 35-40 seconds mentioned by others. This is perhaps my only complaint about this scanner and the reason for four stars. Our other wireless scanner (non-Bluetooth) syncs with the dongle, so it only takes a few seconds to turn it back on. 40 seconds doesn't seem like a long time, but when you stand there and watch your customer get nervous while everyone waits, it feels like an eternity. I love that this scanner isn't as fussy as our other scanners - and you don't have to pick up every object you're scanning and hold it straight and level to read it. It's very forgiving of the angle you use it from. It saves time! In general we like it! The price is reasonable for what you get.
