Review on Universal Compact Bench Power Supply Tools & Equipment - Garage & Shop by Scott Ramu

I bought a power supply from Pyramid Bench (PS7KX) to power a LEDMO LED strip kit. I figured a 12V 5A would easily power the LEDs. I installed the lights and plugged in the power and everything worked as expected. About the 30th minute the light went out, apparently the power supply overheated. After cooling, the lamps re-ignited and continued the cycle on and off as this power supply heats up and cools down. If this product can't work with LEDs, how can it work with something that requires more power? This unit does not have a built in fan as advertised, I even tried to cool it with a small computer fan only to blow the built in fuse. I can't return the product due to damage to the original packaging, so I'm just throwing this product away and treating it as a $40 life lesson. I would not recommend this product nor will I buy this brand again.
