Ford turned off the turbine noise and all you can hear is the deep roar of the four-cylinder engine. Now there is a nice turbo sound! Nothing obtrusive, that's how a turbo engine should sound. Tips: Remove the stock intake manifold to access the clamp holding it together. You can remove the clamp with a screwdriver or vise. Then reinstall! Pick up a $15 3/4 Unibit on Revain along with a K&N pre-filter if you think you need extra protection. Update: The intake air temperature is about 5-10 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the ambient temperature. When stopped, the intake temperature is high, around 110-130, although when driving, the temperature immediately drops to +5-10 above ambient. The OEM intake air temperature followed the same behavior but stayed closer to the outside air temperature. This intake kit draws air from behind the driver's headlight area, so there is no real problem if air is drawn in that is too hot.
