Update 3 months later: Just popped in to order 2 more (one for my mum). We decided we wanted them on both sides of the shell as we were barely surviving with just one (ha!). We've put some very heavy things on this stand and are amazed at how durable it is. especially since the back and front of the counter only cover 3/4 inch with our custom sink. We found it great for drying upturned pans that are hot from the stove. We don't even put it in the dishwasher, we just lather it by hand with hot water and let it dry. Still in the honeymoon phase! --- I'm in camp-how-we-lived-without-it. Seriously, one of the most useful kitchen gadgets ever! It has countless uses and such a low profile that it looks great hanging over the sink 24/7 (we only roll it aside to use the sink or wash.) This "shelf" is simple wonderful for drying and cooling things. Two of our favorite uses: watering potted plants with bottom drainage holes and air drying our large kitchen knives between cuts. YOU MUST HAVE IT!
