Review on G-STORY G STORY Ultrathin Portable Direct Connected Compatible 15.6", 60Hz, 便携式, GSV56UM, HD, HDMI, 4K by Henry Belgrove

This is a great portable monitor. Unfortunately I'd love to use it in portrait mode next to my main monitor, but it seems to have some sort of auto-detection when positioned on its side, and in portrait mode it also doesn't support 4K resolution on my Macbook Pro. via HDMI, nor via USB. -WITH. 4K works fine in normal landscape mode and I can use macOS to rotate the screen sideways in 4K, but when I actually move the screen sideways it tries to "auto-rotate" the screen view and it breaks 4K and looks stretched 1080p off. If there was an option to disable the auto rotate feature in the menu settings, this would be a great monitor for me. In case anyone is still wondering, the brightness on this monitor is limited when only 1 USB-C is used, but when you connect it with a second USB-C cable, the brightness is very good. It can reach the brightness of my Macbook Pro 16" if you connect it with a second USB-C cable.
