works great if you don't have a full size 16X PCIe slot.

I was trying to set up an old UBUNTU Linux PC as a home theater PC. There was no room in the PC for a larger graphics card, which required a full-size PCIe slot. While this card won't satisfy the gamer who wants a really fast GPU, I think it's great for 1080i HD video. The old PC I wanted to use had a built in VGA port on the motherboard, but it was too slow to watch HD videos. I don't know if the GPU performance is good enough for Ultra 4K video, but it's great for 1080i. It has a well-sized heatsink with no fan and only needs 1 slot wide. I would not recommend placing it next to another adapter card where air cannot flow freely through the heatsink. I already installed a silent case fan to dissipate the heat from the CPU and its fans and everything stays cool without noisy graphics card fans. Not only did I want the system to be quiet when I was watching TV or listening to music through the system, but also in my bedroom where I wanted it to be quiet when not in use. Other reviewers have said they have a hard time using the card with Windows, but I use it with UBUNTU with no issues. It works great with open source drivers as well as the latest NVIDIA drivers for UBUNTU 18.04. For people who cannot use it as a replacement for their system's motherboard onboard graphics, disabling the onboard graphics in the CMOS settings or setting a jumper on the motherboard may help. Integrated graphics are often AMD-ATI-Radeon or Intel. The Windows drivers for this card, which use the NVIDIA GPU, sometimes do not work well when trying to enable multiple video adapters from different brands. The speed to cost ratio of this card doesn't compare very well to others as you pay a small premium for a custom card as this is the only card I found online that comes in a tiny 1X PCIe slot runs.
