The bottom is not solid but it looks like storage.

Please note that this box does not have a hard bottom. Woven bottom, like everything else, with a metal frame. Therefore, if you put heavy objects in the box, they can sag between the frames. I put it under my desk to store various personal items that I don't want to clutter up in my office and it works great for that. I can fit a whole case of small water bottles in it. But it wouldn't be nice to be lugging around fully loaded with random items. Maybe folders with files work better since they are the same size.
