I have a 1992 VW Jetta GL. My car had starting problems. The car started fine the first time, but once the engine was warm and you tried to start it again, it wouldn't idle. former. I can drive about 30 minutes, but if I stop and park the car for 15 minutes and then come back to her, she doesn't want to be idle. You have to start the car about 10 times before it starts. There was also overpressure in the cooling system. The engine started and then died within seconds. I went to the mechanic, they said, maybe the ignition coil is stretching and therefore does not stop - somewhere there is a break in the ignition system. The mechanic couldn't fix it because he couldn't read the trouble codes to see if that was the problem. It turned out they were spot on. After replacing the ignition coil, the car started and ran fine every time. That was a few weeks ago and no new problems have arisen. The only problem was the connection points (the gold plated part) didn't match and were dented when it arrived in the mail so my mechanic removed the connectors from the old ignition coil and put them on the new model. Now everything works fine. I spent a total of $70 on parts and labor.
