Review on Massca Aluminum Track Saw Clamp Inches by Carl Morgan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality clamp

Very nice, high-quality clip. It's made in Taiwan, not China, which makes a big difference in my experience. The design, materials and build quality are top notch, I would say world class, I would compare it to anything I've seen made in the US, Germany or Japan. The fixed end is designed to slide into a T-slot, e.g. B. on a chainsaw or various other tools and jigs that can be purchased separately from manufacturers like Kreg to customize custom jigs or whatever else you have. The shank dimensions of this clamp are 11.65mm (0.460") x 5.75mm (0.225") and the width of the clamp shank is 5.95mm (0.234"). You will need to measure the dimensions of the t-slot to make sure it will fit. A rail with a 1/2" x 1/4" rectangular cross-section and a 1/4" top slot will work perfectly, but there seems to be a lot of variation in slot sizes. Based on the published dimensions, they seem to fit perfectly in the Festool slots The moveable sponge pad is made from about 32mm (1-1/4") flat steel so seems best suited to being clamped onto the underside of the bench rather than onto a blank . You may need some scraps as spacers if you're using this to clamp a workpiece, not clamp a fixture. Clamps like my Besseys. This makes the initial adjustment quick and very flexible (hourglass in cross-section) which concentrates force where it is most needed to resist deformation during clamping forces. Overall very good.

Pros
  • Clamp capacity: 11" (290 mm) and projection: 3-1/3" (85 mm)
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
