Review on 3M Thinsulate Waterproof Ski Gloves, Winter Warm Snowboarding Cycling Shoveling Outdoor Sports Men Women Gifts by Dan Sturm

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good for the price, but not great.

I bought these when I wanted to take my kids skiing and couldn't find my more expensive gloves from my skiing days. They got me through a season of light use, which is fine for $15.However, I'm upgrading them now for a few reasons. One, the stitching is coming out in one of the thumbs, there are threads trailing and a hole forming. Two, my hands sweat in these gloves, and they get damp from the inside out. FYI, I don't have particularly sweaty hands-- I suspect that the membrane used for waterproofness is not very breathable. Three, the stitching on the inside between some of the fingers is weird and rough, and it is irritating.Switching to Gordini Storm troopers. over twice the cost, but in testing so far, much more breathable and the stitching on the inside does not irritate my fingers. Keeping these around as a backup pair.

Pros
  • Very warm and snug pair of gloves.Just used them to hike in Mount Shasta.
Cons
  • Poor grip on wet or icy surfaces
