UPDATE: It's been almost a year and the sink still looks great! The thickness of the metal is more than enough for a home kitchen. With daily use I have no dents but scratches from the very heavy bottom of the multicooker. My fault is for dragging the unglazed portion of the pan onto the bottom of the sink. Otherwise the sink looks the same as the day I installed it. A simple daily wipe and I don't even have water stains on the rim. There is some soundproofing material on the bottom, installed on the back, the sink sounds solid. I really don't think buying 2x or 3x the price will get you anything better! Original: This sink is worth the money. Having to drill your own holes might seem like a chore to some, but being able to place your soap dispenser, reverse osmosis water dispenser and other plumbing supplies exactly where you want them is great. The metal isn't the thickest, but is more than strong enough for a home kitchen. Due to the large size and greater depth, the sink can handle a large number of dishes or large pots. The soundproofing makes it quieter than the sink I had at home. Using a hole punch made punching extremely easy. It arrived in perfect condition and is well protected in its shipping packaging. Very important!
