I recently bought a new, larger monitor. I loved it, but there was just one problem: the slowness and effort entailed in moving the pointer from one part of the screen to the other. I had the mouse speed maxed out, and, not exaggerating at all, it still could take ten seconds to haul the pointer to the opposite side of the screen. It was bad enough in Windows and Linux, but in EUFI BIOS, where the speed was unchangeable, the mouse was practically immobile.I tried cracking open the mouse and cleaning its innards and keeping my previous pad clean. That helped marginally. Then, I figured out that maybe I needed a larger, better mouse pad.Now the pointer moves at olympic speed. In fact, I'll probably have to set its speed lower because it overshoots. It saves time and patience.It's not exactly made to be ergonomic as such, but the lower effort and time needed to haul the pointer are far less of a strain on the hand an wrist. Otherwise, the pad feels comfortable.My only concern is cleaning it. I guess I could use a lint roller or a hand vac. I'll see.Believe me, the right mouse pad improves the PC experience.
