I don't like the fashion for these flat soles. The essence of the molded sole was that it was an advance in shoe technology that had been created for centuries! It has saved millions of us from a lifetime of pain! And now we go back to the Middle Ages? I don't have as much bounce as a naturally molded shoe with a cambered sole and more pronounced healing area, and my feet hurt again which tells me my calves are working TOO HARD every time I take them. In addition, arch support is no longer an option. If you buy these, you'll probably want to buy insoles that fit your feet better. However, I like its light weight. I'm not sure who the heck designed this sole. Many of my friends expressed the same opinion. I will wear the ones ordered, but NOT for long outings. I often think these silly trends are based on someone's idea of how things should look to fit a fad rather than what makes practical and medical sense, in this case we're talking about it so my feet don't hurt.
