Broke quickly good for halogen bulbs

I expected them to last more than 5 minutes! The lamps were installed according to the instructions and then switched on, after just a few minutes the ceramic turned black and after a few minutes it broke. After trying all the bulbs in the pack, I replaced them with popular brand name bulbs. They work fine so I'm sure it was the bulbs.
