Purchased in November 2016 for a battery that struggled when it got cold. Worked great the first winter. He took it off, wiped it with a damp cloth, trying not to get it wet, and put it away for the summer. Newly installed for winter 2017 and it worked fine and towards the end of winter it started tripping my switch as soon as it was plugged in. I removed it and see absolutely no reason why this is happening. The unit is absolutely dry, no cuts on the cord or plug, but it still works on my circuit breaker when plugged into the mains. Not worth the money if it doesn't last long. It should be guaranteed and I should get a new one. I won't be buying another as the price is almost half the price of a new battery so I might as well buy a new battery instead, at least they have a guarantee. Update 11/18/2018: I decided to open the device. let's see if it's fixable. Photos are attached showing the wires that house the heating system are broken and no longer suitable due to overheating and very bad wires. You cannot replace these wires. These wires are right in the middle of the block and didn't overheat from overlapping because I wasn't overlapping any part of the block. A broken wire occurs where the device rests against the long side of the battery and does not bend. This is a very poorly made device, made in China and rubbish. Don't waste money.
